DIC APAC Showcases Technology & Innovation at FPLMA Forum 2025

On 21 – 22 August 2025, DIC Asia Pacific (DIC APAC) participated in the annual Flexible Packaging & Label Manufacturers Association (FPLMA) Forum and Print Awards, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia. With the theme “Adaptation & Innovation”, the two-day program brought together packaging and label professionals from across Australia and New Zealand to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore new opportunities shaping the industry.

DIC APAC’s Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, David Robins shared the latest innovations in packaging such as: 

  • Electron Beam (EB) Cure Technology – providing high-performance, solvent-free curing with environmental benefits. 
  • Next-Generation Water-Based Inks for Films – enabling improved sustainability without compromising print quality. 
  • Nitrocellulose (NC) Update – exploring the impact of NC-based inks in light of the EU’s evolving Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Celebrating Industry Excellence at the 2025 FPLMA Print Awards 

The Forum culminated with the prestigious FPLMA Print Awards, held on 22 August, recognizing the very best in flexographic, gravure, digital, and combination printing. Each entry is judged against the highest standards of technical skill, craftsmanship, and innovation, making the awards one of the most respected showcases in the industry. 

This year, DIC ANZ’s customer RollsPack, emerged as a standout winner as well as the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award.
