SeaDee SnapExport ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that captures the web page you are currently viewing and lets you save it as a PNG, JPG or PDF file.
This policy explains what data the extension handles and what it does with it.
The extension does all of its work on your own computer. It has no server, makes no network requests, and sends no data to the developer or to any third party. Nothing you capture ever leaves your device.
Website content. To create the export, the extension takes screenshots of the page you are viewing and joins them together into a single image. That image contains whatever is visible on the page — text, images, links and other page content. This is the core function of the extension and it only happens on a page where you have clicked "Export Page" or pressed the keyboard shortcut.
Page address and capture time. The extension records the URL of the page being exported and the date and time of the capture. These are used for two purposes: to name the downloaded file with a date-and-time stamp, and to print the page address and capture time onto the exported image or PDF when the "Include capture details" option is switched on. You can switch that option off in the result screen.
Your settings. The extension stores your chosen preferences — maximum export length, margins, page mode, time zone, and whether capture details and page numbers are included — so they are remembered next time.
The extension does not collect, read or store personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, passwords or authentication data, personal communications, your location, or your browsing activity across sites. It does not monitor your clicks, scrolling, mouse position or keystrokes, and it does not read cookies or site login sessions.
All of the above is stored locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own computer. It is never uploaded.
Captured image data is temporary working data. It is cleared when you run the next export, and all stored data is removed when you uninstall the extension.
Files you download are saved by Chrome to your normal downloads location and are yours alone; the extension has no access to them afterwards.
The extension does not transmit, share, sell or rent any data to anyone. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party service of any kind. The developer cannot see what you capture.
The use of information handled by this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the export features described above and for no other purpose.
The extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
If the extension's data handling changes, this page will be updated, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
