The Willow Muse

Update for Spring 2024

Limited local availability only: Limited local availability only, as a figure or portrait model for artists who are drawing or painting. Priorities are given to emerging artists in need of educational experience or building a portfolio; then to locally-based artists who are seeking diverse models for an interesting project that aligns with my values.

Let my soul's essence inspire your creative sparks.

Let’s create art that reflects the world in its beautiful complexity with a muse who expands the horizon of artistic creativity offering a distinct perspective on expression, movement, and form.

As a nonbinary, neurodivergent and minority art model, I'm here to challenge and inspire you to honor and represent all bodies in their truest forms. Let's collaborate to create art that makes a statement. While every art model contributes to the skills improvement of artists, I enhance artists' learning experiences through a representation of different body language and gender expressions as well as the embodiment of my essence in all its truest forms.

About me.

Thank you for your interest and curiosity. I thought I'd like to take the liberty of sharing who I am, my past modeling experiences, and what I am looking for in the future. I appreciate your taking the time to read.

The name is Willow (they/them). I'm a nonbinary, queer, and neurodivergent human of the Pacific Northwest. Chronologically I'm now in my mid-40s but hey, age is just a number, and honestly, for a number of reasons I feel and look much younger than that. I am based in suburban Portland, Oregon region. I do not travel, so any project should be strictly local.

I began modeling when I was 31 years old at the request of an acquaintance who was working on an artistic photography project. I have modeled for several photographers and other visual artists (drawing/painting), and for figure drawing groups. Personally, I have come to think of modeling as another way to express myself artistically, with my own embodied being as the medium, as well as a way to chronicle my life and how it has evolved.

I am still open to artistic projects and collaboratively working with emerging artists on projects.

Ideal projects would inspire me to express my soul's essence in all its facets and depths, as well as educate the art community about nonbinary and neurodivergent humans. Good rapport and connection with artists are a must, as well as an ability to co-create a safe container for that. I tend to be on the more reserved and shy side at first but otherwise, I tend to be playful, sensual, and innocent all at the same time. Your ability to give me directions is helpful.

I am also an exhibited artist with about 15 years of history (watercolor, mixed-media, and illustrations), as well as a former gallery curator.
